Jan. 11, 2012 - I got totally soaked taking this, but it’s a tree down the block from my house. The leaves against the rainy sky illuminated by the street lamp were worth the rain.
Jan. 10, 2011 - Got my pre-ordered copy of John Green’s newest book. Haven’t had a chance to crack it yet because I know when I do it’ll be a one-sitting read.
Jan. 9, 2012 - I got new linens for my bed for Christmas and they’re so cute I make my bed every morning. Can’t decide if it’s maturity or style.
Jan. 8, 2012 - First class of the semester starts tomorrow and I’ve already got a bunch of reading to do in advance.
Jan. 7, 2012 - Watching The Pixar Story and feeling so sad to see Steve Jobs looking healthy. Also gotta appreciate that I watched it on my MacBook Air.
Jan. 6, 2012 - Did you know that Keebler makes what are basically Thin Mints?? Grasshoppers are now my new favorite thing. Totally helping me recover from a hangover.
Jan. 5, 2012 - My office always does the holiday party after the first of the year. It’s the only way people can commit to coming, we can get a great location at half the price, and everyone has a great time. Last night, we reserved the rooftop bar at a great little bistro on U St. This was the beginning of the night. I’m feeling the pain of the end of the night today.
Jan. 3, 2012 - First work-out of the new year. It’s not a resolution to get to the gym more this year, because I’d actually like to keep this one. Hopefully the first in a new pattern of habit.
Jan. 4, 2012 - I love meals that are so colorful! I’m going to try to make more of an attempt this year to cook more and eat breakfast most mornings.
Jan. 2, 2012 - Flying from Boston to DC, the sunset was breathtaking. I’m not usually one to snap photos from a plane window, but this one was irresistible.
